Small Individual Donations through Website

June 2026 Onwards | Small Donations Through Our Website | Each ranging from ₩1,000–₩100,000 Beginning in June 2026, common&good started receiving donations from individuals who had discovered our work through our website and reached out through its contact form. These contributions varied considerably, ranging from as little as ₩1,000 to ₩100,000, but what made them particularly meaningful was that they came from people we had never personally approached. Until then, much of my fundraising had involved actively reaching out to potential supporters, arranging meetings, explaining our projects, and asking whether they might be willing to contribute. Receiving messages from people who had found common&good independently felt unexpectedly different. I remember being genuinely surprised that someone could come across our website, spend time reading about what we did, and decide, entirely of their own accord, that they wanted to become part of it. The smaller donations were especially thought-provoking. It would have been easy to focus on the larger figures, particularly after experiencing corporate fundraising, but I found myself appreciating the ₩1,000 contributions just as much. I knew almost nothing about the circumstances of the people behind them, and that made me hesitant to judge their generosity by the amount they had given. A donation's monetary value could be recorded precisely on our balance sheet, but the thought and intention behind it could not. I had initially thought of our website primarily as a way to document common&good's activities and communicate our mission. Gradually, I began to see it as something more: a space through which people who had never met us could discover a shared concern and choose to act on it. It was encouraging to realise that our work could invite participation even when we were not there to explain it ourselves. These donations reminded me that the significance of generosity cannot always be expressed in numbers. Whether ₩1,000 or ₩100,000, each contribution represented someone making a conscious decision to care about something beyond their own immediate world.
