Donation from Mr. Kim (Private Investor)

Following a phone call in which I introduced common&good and explained our work, Mr. Kim, a private investor, offered to contribute ₩250,000 to support our activities. The conversation left me thinking about the different levels of commitment involved in giving. People can sometimes be remarkably willing to contribute their money when they believe in an idea, while finding the time to take action themselves can be considerably harder. Rather than diminishing the value of financial support, this gave me a heightened sense of responsibility for what happens after a donation is made. If someone is willing to entrust us with resources they have earned, it becomes our responsibility to turn that willingness into action and to make sure their contribution is used thoughtfully and transparently.
