21st Jeju MBC International Peace Marathon

31 March 2024ㅣ21st Jeju MBC International Peace Marathonㅣ₩50,000 I used to think running was one of the most individual of sports. During the MBC International Peace Marathon, however, I watched a visually impaired runner and their guide connected by a short tether, moving together in perfect rhythm. Neither seemed simply to lead or follow. Their race depended on trust. It made me notice how much of running relies on other people: guides, volunteers, organisers, supporters, and even strangers offering encouragement along the course. What appears to be an individual achievement is often made possible by a much larger network of people we rarely notice. To honour that lesson, I contributed another ₩50,000 ($37.2 as of Aug 2026) to common&good, hoping to pass forward a little of the support that allows each of us to reach our own finish lines.
