After a quick detour to a convenience store and public toilet, I returned to the course knowing that my target time, and any chance of a personal best, had disappeared. Initially frustrating, it became a reminder that neither races nor life unfold under perfect conditions. We cannot always control what interrupts our plans, but we can decide what to do afterwards. That day, I stopped chasing a time and started chasing the finish line. Crossing it after running across Gwangan Bridge reminded me that life can be imperfectly perfect. Sometimes, what makes an experience meaningful is not everything going according to plan, but choosing to continue when it does not. In that spirit, I contributed another ₩50,000 ($37.2 as of Aug 2026) to common&good.
