15th Beautiful Jeju International Marathon

People often say the hardest race is Boston or an ultramarathon. I disagree. The hardest race is your second. After finishing my first 10km, I thought I understood running. In reality, I was simply too inexperienced to know what lay ahead. Looking back, that ignorance was a gift. Had I known every injury, setback, and early morning waiting for me, I might never have signed up again. Sometimes, beginner's luck isn't talent. It's not yet knowing what should scare you. As I return to the Jeju Beautiful International Marathon, I'm reminded how fortunate I was to begin with that optimism. For the completion of this marathon, I'm also donating another ₩50,000 ($36.2 as of Aug 2026), hoping that every finish line can contribute to something beyond my own journey.
