22nd Jeju MBC International Peace Marathon

Feb 9 2025ㅣJeju MBC International Peace Marathonㅣ₩50,000 Somewhere during the Jeju MBC International Peace Marathon, I became a different runner. The optimism of the opening kilometres gradually gave way to doubt as every step became harder, before a second wind brought with it a quieter determination to finish. Looking back, I realised I had been three different runners during the same race: optimistic, doubtful, and determined. It reminded me that we similarly become different versions of ourselves in different circumstances. Like water taking the shape of its container without ceasing to be water, adapting does not necessarily mean becoming less ourselves. To mark another race and another lesson learned on the road, I contributed ₩50,000 ($37.2 as of Aug 2026) to common&good, continuing my commitment to turn each finish line into a small contribution towards someone else’s journey.
